Therapies & Techniques

Muscle Stimulation (E-Stim) -

Muscle stimulation therapy, or e-Stim, is a therapeutic treatment that applies electrical stimulation to treat pain and muscle spasms. At Tomah Chiropractic we use this therapy to help build strength and prevent atrophy in patients with muscle injuries.

Trigger Point Therapy -

The use of massage for trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries. Pressure is applied to a trigger point long enough to release and relax the muscle. This increases blood flow to the muscle to allow normalization and bring it back to a health state.

Active Release Technique -

The human body possesses some remarkably powerful mechanisms for repairing itself, including the production of scar tissue to protect, stabilize, and rebuild the damage. However, if that internal scarring gets out of control, you may still end up debilitated by that old, nagging sports injury. Fortunately, at Tomah Chiropractic we can help you regain your pain-free mobility through the use of an advanced treatment modality known as active release technique, or ART.

Stretching and Strengthening Exercises -

If you suffer from chronic pain, stiff ligaments, tight muscles, or frequent injuries, our chiropractors may prescribe stretching and strengthening exercises on top of any joint adjustments or other treatments you may need.

X-Rays -

Diagnostics are very important to quality chiropractic care and x-rays are one of the most commonly used tools. Why? They are non-invasive and really give our chiropractors a chance to see what is going on in your body so that an appropriate course of treatment can be determined. Here’s what you need to know about the use of x-rays at Tomah Chiropractic.
